Recycling bins are located on the each floor in each residence hall. Containers for Mixed Paper, White Paper, Aluminum and Plastics should be available on every floor. If you cannot locate the bins on your floor, please contact one of the Custodians or Email Us. Containers for brown, clear, and green glass can be found outside your res hall near the back doors. Cardboard can also be recycled. Simply breakdown any boxes and remove any trash. Place the broken down box outside by the large recycling carts on wheels located outdside (same location as the glass containers).
Emory Recycles provides each residence with their very own recycling bag to keep for use during their time here at Emory. The bags are for collecting recycleables in your room or apartment. When the bag is full, simply take it down to the nearest set of recycling slim jims and sort the material collected into the proper slim jim. The slim jim will be emptied by your Res Hall custodian into the larger 95-gallon carts located outside your res hall.
