THE RECYCLED ART PROJECT

The ever-increasing demand for energy and resources and an ever-decreasing amount of those resources has generated an issue that needs our attention and action. Emory Recycles is striving to promote awareness and dialogue about the issues facing our environment through the creative expression of making art out of the things discarded.

EMORY RECYCLES PRESENTS:

3RD ANNUAL RECYCLED ART PROJECT: Emory University, October 28th-November 17th

 

Works will be displayed on campus October 28th and November 17th. Most of the work is located in White Hall and the atrium of the Math and Science. There are 4 outdoor pieces not to be missed located outside on main campus.

Event Calendar

November 12, 6-8pm White Hall, Rm 112 (#1380 on campus map), Emory Alum and Recycled Art Project co-founder Erik Fyfe will speak about his work developing biodiesel fuels for Atlanta.
November 13, 7pm Visual Arts Building, Smart Classroom (#700 on campus map) Artist Jenny Krasner will speak about her experiences making art
out of found materials.

Reception November 15, 7-10 Recycling Center, 868 Peavine Creek Dr. Free for everyone, artists and students. Awards will be given within the first hour so please join us. Food provided by the Flying Biscuit, wine donated by Whole Foods (please bring your I.D.) and a wonderful bluegrass band, Deja Bluegrass, will be performing.

Parking for both events is available in the Peavine Parking Deck (3270 and 3271 on campus map)

Reception
Artist reception and band party will be held at the Recycling Center, 868 Peavine Creek Dr, Atlanta, on November 15 from 7:00-10:00.
Awards will be presented within the first hour of the reception.
